I am starting this blog with the hopes of encouraging families to adopt and to help families fundriase. Don't let the numbers overwhelm you. If God has layed it on your hearts, and it is in his plan for you, it will happen. I would also love for people to share their own fundraising ideas and adoption stories here. I name this blog "one child" because together we can change the world one child at a time.
I guess I should tell you a little about myself. About a year ago my husband and I brought home our beautiful son from Ethiopia. The process was long, the paperwork was overwhelming and there seemed to never be an end in site. But I assure you, there is an end in site. When you lay eyes on your little one for the first time you will understand. There are no words to describe the feelings. So I won't even try.
Recently we have started the process of adopting again, however this time I feel like I should not only be fundraising for our own adoption but for others as well. The first time we adopted we received so much help from not only loved ones but strangers as well. I want to pass that on. If you know someone who is in the process of adopting please give them this blog. I want to make a difference. Even if it is a small difference.
Here is my plan. I sold Tastefully Simple products the first time around and plan to do that again this time. There are many ways that I can help you through using Tastefully Simple as a fundraiser. We can do real parties at your house, book parties or facebook parties. If you live close, then real parties are a total blast. If you live far, facebook parties are going to be easy. You post information on your facebook, your friends can order and 30% of all the sales for that month will go toward your adoption. I am excited to donate my time to help your family. I will make no profit off your adoption fundraiser. Please check out tastefullysimple.com .Boy am I getting long winded! As I said before, please pass this on to everyone you know. Together we can make a difference One Child at a time!
